also i find the results rather surprising. kind of. not that i really know the demographic here... but almost everyone i know smokes. (granted, i don't know many people, and they're all models... oddly, the photographers i can think of don't... maybe because they're older than the models i know, and older people tend to have quit?) but for an entire 25% to have said "never" just seems really weird to me. i used to think i was weird because i didn't start until my mid-20's-ish. this is a topic that really doesn't merit this amount of thought so i'll be on my way...
I smoked a pack a day for 3 years, quit for about 6 months, now I smoke 3-5 a week. I really, really, really love smoking cigarettes, and I'm the kind of person who lives each day for that day and lives it to the fullest, so why deny myself the enjoyment?? I only quit because they're so damn expensive!
^^^this. except i don't quit. my newest thing is buying 100's and smoking half, to try to save money but... i hate it. it's not the saaame. i figure we're all going to die of something anyway. right? everything is deadly. i might as well die by indulging in something.
The only time I smoke is one in a while, either when I am at a fancy gentlemen's club (NOT a strip joint, but a real established place), or if I am in a melancholy mood, when I take a cigar in one hand, a bottle of chilled Merlot in another, and listen to Janet Jackson's "That's the Way Love Goes" (from her "Sign of a Decade" album). The only reason why I don't smoke more often is because I can't stand the smell on my clothes and furniture.
