For me it's kinda mediocre as far as AMC shows go...................so that means it's pretty damn fantastic if you throw it in with the rest of the TV out there. I look forward to the next and last 3 eps. of the opening season.
until yesterday they had drifted too far away from the graphic novels. Not just in sequence of events and basic action shots (im willing to forgive vato-turned-nurses-turned-vato lord of flies because it literally had no effect on anything), but also characters that were being changed and relationships that were being underplayed or overplayed. Then, last night, a lot of the extraneous characters became zombie food, and Amy was eaten. I'm a little more into it now. Hopefully Andrea does what she's supposed to do, because that is a HUGE moment for her developmental in the story. it'd be a shame if they wrote that off and turned Andrea into just another "YOU CAN'T KILL MY SISTER EVEN THOUGH SHE'S ALREADY DEAD! WAIT UNTIL SHE TRIES TO EAT YOUR EYEBALLS AT LEAST!!!" Thats the worst kind of survivor.
awesome! so glad to see a series of zombies finally and love that they are not holding back the gore. also, love the human elements that will be what really keeps the show going. love triangle = shades of camelot anyone <3
? ... things never grabbed while looting for supplies *medical supplies(every kind) *vitamins? *Abandoned Military supplies - i.e the local national armory (tons of meds , foods , ammo , utility vehicles , personal armor) *eco fuel efficient vehicles - they always grab flashy gas guzzlers i.e hummers , police and other law enforcement vehicles *portable music or other entertainment devices *dvds or other forms of media storage *technology beyond 1980's based i.e they take radios but dont think to grab a laptop, cameras , data storage , *tech schematics for various things i.e irrigation knowledge *swords/axes
Things never done that make sense *medical training and teaching to everyone in the survival group *zombie combat training *weapons training *Survivalist training
things grabbed too often *junk food *alcohol *high priced clothing *out of date tech
Spoiler alert for anyone who hasn't read the comics: - may also eventually be spoilers for the show...
in the comics eventually:
they get a doctor/medically trained character they raid the national guard depot they take whatever vehicles they can find one of the characters gives his kid a gameboy for "christmas" they find a farm and the group expands, they start farming at their new HQ when in populated areas they use bladed weapons, Rick using an axe and Mishonne? using a sword
when they reach a "secure" area they set up home and begin firearms training and zombie combat training
although the series so far is deffering slightly from the comics
Just another proof showing that no one can manage to get more creative with the zombie concept. Or maybe nobody wants to because the zombie fans love to consume the same undead crap over and over again.
